What We Believe
Every business is a three-legged stool:

-
Operations are the products and services you sell
-
Finance is how you store and move value in, out, and around your business
-
People is the collective group who share resources to achieve common goals
Organizations often grow initially because they are very good at operations and/or finance. But at a certain size, a lack of intentional focus on optimizing people begins to constrain success.

At Appleseed, we believe good people strategy accelerates operational and financial growth. Investing in people is like watering your garden: you won’t see the effects of neglect today or tomorrow, but over the long term there will be consequences.
Why Apple Seeds?

John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed, was an 18th century pioneer who introduced apple trees from Pennsylvania to Illinois. His mission centered on conservation, simplicity, and spirituality and his legendary kindness left a lasting imprint on American frontier culture.

At Appleseed we don’t have orchards or tin cooking pot hats, but we do have a mission to spread the message of people strategy’s real impact on business performance. Just like apple seeds, if you plant good strategy in strong soil and nurture it, you will bear fruit. And we feel as strongly as Mr. Chapman did that this work matters for our collective future.
